SHB works diligently to provide the highest quality training environment to athletes through expert knowledge provided by Scott "Hemo" Hemond himself.  SHB's high energy certified staff sets out to coach, instruct, and mentor all athletes with their vast set of innovative training methods that are structured to get the most out of each player to promote champions on and off the field.

About Scott "Hemo" Hemond, Founder

  • Drafted out of high school, 5th round by the Kansas City Royals
  • The only 2 time All-American in USF history. 
  • Three time 1st Team All Sun Belt Conference 
  • 1986 Male Athlete of the Year
  • 1986 Golden Spikes Finalist - (Equivalent to the Heisman)
  • 1985 USA Team
  • 1986 Cape Cod League MVP + Batting Champion 
  • Inducted into the Cape Cod Hall of Home in 2007 
  • Played on Highest Ranked Baseball Teams in USF history 
  • 1st Round - 12th Pick for Oakland A‘s in 1986 
  • Highest Pick in USF Baseball history 
  • 2nd Highest Draft Pick in Pinellas County 
  • Played 7 Seasons in the Major League with Oakland A’s, Chicago White Sox, and St. Louis Cardinals 
  • Oakland A’s single season Base Stealing Record for a catcher 
  • Played every position at the major league level except pitcher
  • His number "11" was retired at both University of South Florida and Dunedin High School

Isaac Gonzalez


Growing up in a military family, Isaac Gonzalez graduated from John Paul Stevens High School in San Antonio, TX.  He played baseball at Vernon Junior High School college and Kansas Wesleyan University.  During time playing, he was a utility player with a focus on infield and catcher.  Isaac recently graduated from West Florida where he coached in Pensacola for 3 years with Unlimited Training Academy and Wave Baseball in Gulf Breeze, FL before moving to Destin. 

Rafael Bustamante


We are excited to have , Venezuelan born, Rafael  Bustamante as a member of our staff.  Rafael played infield professionally from 1987- 1994.  Organizations that he played with include the Phillies, Cincinnati, and the Aragua Tigers in Venezuela.  From 1994 to 2001 Rafael was a hitting coach  for theAragua Tigers.  He also scouted for the Tampa Bay Rays from 1996 to 1999.

Phoenix Sanders


Seasonal Instructor, Phoenix Sanders is  a RHP with the AAA Durham Bulls (Tampa Bay Rays).  He was drafted in the 10th round and was the "Ace of Staff" at USF and Daytona State.  Phoenix lead USF to the Gainesville NCAA Regional in 2017.  He has quickly moved through the ranks in the Rays organization where he was AA All-Star, and Southern league pitcher of the month.
