Founded in 2005

SHB works diligently to provide the highest quality training environment to athletes through expert knowledge provided by Scott "Hemo" Hemond himself.  SHB's high energy certified staff sets out to coach, instruct, and mentor all athletes with their vast set of innovative training methods that are structured to get the most out of each player to promote champions on and off the field.

About Scott "Hemo" Hemond, Founder

  • Drafted out of high school, 5th round by the Kansas City Royals
  • The only 2 time All-American in USF history. 
  • Three time 1st Team All Sun Belt Conference 
  • 1986 Male Athlete of the Year
  • 1986 Golden Spikes Finalist - (Equivalent to the Heisman)
  • 1985 USA Team
  • 1986 Cape Cod League MVP + Batting Champion 
  • Inducted into the Cape Cod Hall of Home in 2007 
  • Played on Highest Ranked Baseball Teams in USF history 
  • 1st Round - 12th Pick for Oakland A‘s in 1986 
  • Highest Pick in USF Baseball history 
  • 2nd Highest Draft Pick in Pinellas County 
  • Played 7 Seasons in the Major League with Oakland A’s, Chicago White Sox, and St. Louis Cardinals 
  • Oakland A’s single season Base Stealing Record for a catcher 
  • Played every position at the major league level except pitcher
  • His number "11" was retired at both University of South Florida and Dunedin High School


Tim Patterson, Instructor

  • Coaching with Scott Hemond Baseball since 2009. 
  • Travel ball coach/manager since 2007 beginning Jacksonville, FL
  • Pitcher Peru State (scholarship), starter and out of the bullpen
  • 2013 ranked 5th in total hits allowed (35)
  • 32nd in opponent batting average (.203)
  • 33rd in hits allowed per 9 innings (6.65)
  • Huge leadership role to Champions of Character representative to the community
  • Pitched for Peru State when they won 2 Heartland of America Athletic Conference Championship which lead to 2 National Tournament appearances
  • Best four year record for Peru State to date (135-69) during his four years
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management

Coach Brennan Coe

Brennan Coe, Instructor


Coach Brennan Coe was a three-year varsity starter/closing pitcher at Navarre High School from 2005-09. He was awarded MVP his senior year and pitched a no-hitter in the '09 All-star game. After high school, Brennan received a full baseball scholarship to Wallace Community College then transferred to Delgado Community College the following season where his team won the Region XXIII Tournament.

Brennan has over four years of high-level coaching experience and was a co-founder of multiple travel organizations. He has organized and lead numerous coaching clinics throughout the panhandle of Florida. Coach Brennan has been giving private and group lessons for over four years and has extensive experience coaching each aspect of the game. During Brennan's time as a coach, he takes pride in studying and analyzing countless hours of different hitters, pitchers, and position players to keep his knowledge current. He is also certified by USA baseball in 4 categories. 

Brennan graduated from the University of West Florida in the Summer of 2017 with his degree in Sport Management.
